What it signals when you’re hiring

Metro Associates’ own read, not ASCE’s.

OCEA goes to one project a year nationally, so the pool of people who have worked on a winner is genuinely small. Treat it as a strong signal, and verify it — it is specific enough to check.

Roles whose work ends up in an entry like this

  • Principal Civil Engineer
  • Structural Lead
  • Program Manager

We staff the firms that enter. We don’t enter.

Metro Associates is a recruiting firm, and a recruiting firm is not eligible for an engineering award. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or a winner of the Outstanding Civil Engineering Achievement (OCEA). The ASCE name and mark belong to ASCE, shown here to identify the program it runs. What we do is place the engineers whose work goes into entries like it.
