Principal Engineering Designer – San Diego, CA
Help deliver multidisciplinary land development projects in San Diego and Southern California. Work with experienced engineering teams to carry civil design concepts through final plans and agency processing.
Responsibilities
- Develop grading plans from conceptual design through final documentation.
- Prepare and process subdivision and land development maps and plans.
- Perform road design, drainage, and earthwork calculations.
- Apply jurisdictional codes, standards, and agency procedures throughout project delivery.
Qualifications
- BS in Civil Engineering plus four years of land development experience, or equivalent work experience of eight years.
- Experience taking grading plans from concept through final plans and processing subdivision/land development documents.
- AutoCAD/Civil 3D experience required.
- Knowledge of jurisdictional codes, standards, and procedures; California experience preferred.
- EIT certification and ability to obtain a California PE license within 12 months of hire are preferred.
Compensation & Benefits
$45.00–$55.50 per hour.
